Lionel is the founder and managing director of Auriga IP. With more than 20 years of experience in many areas of intellectual property, he is a registered Patent Attorney with expertise in patent drafting and prosecution, IP management and strategy, licensing and IP due diligence.
As an industry veteran in the Intellectual Property space, Lionel has a proven track record in helping multi-national corporations and listed companies build a sustainable innovation culture and develop good practices in IP strategy and IP management to create value and assets.
Lionel has worked for companies of diverse types and sizes: large law firms, international IP firms and multinational listed companies. At Drew & Napier, he specialized in the patent prosecution of multi-national corporations in semiconductor, manufacturing , technology and pharmaceutical industries. In AJ Park (New Zealand), he spent time drafting patent applications for multi-national corporations. Lionel then joined the international IP firm, Bird & Bird LLP where he managed the patent portfolio of multi-national corporations and frequently advised on strategic protection and management of intellectual property rights.
Inspired to understand the IP and business challenges faced by companies, Lionel made a significant career move by joining Razer Inc., a former NASDAQ-listed multi-national corporation that is the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers. Under his leadership, he was instrumental in developing and executing tailored IP strategies, and implementing policies for invention harvesting and IP risk management. Lionel was also integral in providing litigation support that led to Razer’s success in obtaining damages in a patent litigation case in the United States.
Lionel played a fundamental and instrumental role in developing and implementing tailored patent strategies for GrabTaxi Holdings, a NASDAQ-listed company. He provided strategic patent advisory services to Grab’s legal and engineering team with particular focus on patent harvesting and patent risk management, and helped Grab achieve a top 10 patent filer status in Singapore in 2021 and 2022.
Lionel also has experience managing the trademark portfolios of several companies and has assisted in the filing and prosecution of several trademark applications in Singapore and overseas.

Trainee Patent Attorney, Biotech Specialist
Petrina brings nearly two decades of dedicated experience in intellectual property, with a specialized focus on patent filing and prosecution. She excels at advising both local and international corporate clients on their patent portfolios and overarching strategy, ensuring their intellectual property is robustly protected under Singapore Patent Law. Petrina’s extensive background allows her to manage the full lifecycle of a patent, from drafting specifications and applications to prosecuting them in Singapore and overseas. Her prior experience includes managing a portfolio of over 700 patent application files. She is also adept at leadership, having supervised patent filing clerks and trained new executives. In a previous role, she was instrumental in growing a patents team from a single executive to a team of five.

IP Paralegal
Priyanka brings over seven years of intellectual property and legal compliance experience across Singapore and India to the Auriga IP team. Her practice focuses on trademark prosecution and portfolio management, including filings and office action responses before IPOS, WIPO, and IP2SG, trademark clearance searches, and specification drafting for goods and services.
Before joining Auriga IP, Priyanka held IP and legal compliance roles at leading Singapore law firms and a multinational technology company, where she managed multi-jurisdictional trademark portfolios, coordinated with foreign associates on international filings, and supported the development of internal AI governance and data protection (PDPA) policy. She has also set up standard operating procedures for IP departments at two prior firms, and has experience training and mentoring junior team members.
Priyanka holds a Master of Laws in Trademarks, Corporate and Commercial Law from NALSAR University of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi. She is a Registered Trademark Agent with ISTMA and is qualified as an Advocate in India (Bar Council of Delhi & Bar Council of India). She has attended INTA (Boston, 2019), WIPF (2018), and APAA (2018).
